Children's Programs

Children of all ages are welcomed at The King Arts Complex. With programs beginning for children as young as 4 years old. The Complex encourages participation in the arts from a very early age. Through our Interactive Learning Center, known as The King Kids Area, children will learn about African art, contemporary art and traditional art. Our programs recognize the important role the arts play in the growth and development of children.

Children's Arts Programs at The King Arts Complex are as follows:

Winter & Spring Arts Academy: Ages 5-12.  Monday - Friday. Dates: (Held during the Columbus Public Schools winter and spring Break) 

Enroll your child in the Winter Arts Academy and expose them to a variety of cultural art forms.  Local artists will be on site to share their energy and creative talents with students.  Participants will have fun learning while creating original works of art.  Make the experience twice as nice and participate in the Spring Academy!  

Registration and art supply fee: $20 (non-refundable) Tuition: $80 members, $85 non-members, weekly. (All fees are subject to change without notice) 

Summer Arts Camp: Ages 4-12.  Dates: Camp dates run concurrently with Columbus Public Schools summer break.  Time: 7am - 6pm  

The Summer Arts Camp will have your child busy creating, performing and broadening his/her horizons through a series of classes, workshops and field trips.  Professional artists and educators will be on staff to conduct fun-filled, art, educational experiences.  Classes include intensive training in the visual, performing and literary arts.  All campers are eligible to "shine" and participate in the Summer Arts Camp final exhibition and performance!
